After years of drug abuse and running from God, the life of Karl Barancik was dramatically changed. He was born-again in 1974, after several run-ins with law enforcement, and was instantly delivered of many hard drugs and alcohol. This significant change brought Karl into a whole new Christian lifestyle. In 1981 Karl, with his wife Kathi, founded Faith City Church (formerly Faith Fellowship Ministries), a non-denominational, trans-ethnic, local church in the Flint, Michigan area. They met with eight other people in a rented hall on a Sunday morning; and there the church was birthed. Within a couple of weeks, they started a Bible study on Thursday nights in their home. This is where the church grew from the original eight to approximately twenty people. Within six months, Faith City purchased a building and grew in Burton, Michigan. In September 1994, we moved to Fenton, Michigan. In 2012 we added another church campus serving Palm Harbor, Florida. Many people have come through our doors over the years and felt God's will to stay and become an integral part of the ministry here. We have built a solid and trustworthy church ministry since 1981.
